Stressed and under-appreciated moms Amy, Kiki and Carla are back, this time taking on the mission of Christmas. If making a perfect Christmas wasn’t mission enough, the arrival of their own mothers only adds to the problem. Chaos ensues as the perfect Christmas unravels.
There is not a lot that I can say about this film to be completely honest with you. While it is enjoyable, it is no more than what you see in the trailer; it’s funny, easy to watch and rude. This is the perfect film for a night in with your friends when you want a laugh. If you enjoyed the first film then you will definitely enjoy this as it follows a similar plot with the additions of the ‘Bad Moms’ own moms!
The plot is basic but all you need for a film like this, it is funny, relatable and brings back some of your favourite characters from the first film. The casting of this film is one of my favourites; Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Katherine Hahn make a great cast of misfit moms. Each of them brings their own thing to the film which makes for a good watch when paired up with the casting of their moms Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines and Susan Surandon. The cast is strong but sometimes underused as the script is sometimes lacking with swearing used as a substance for actual comedy occasionally. Underneath all the swearing and slow-mo, the message is actually quite cute.
Despite this being massive cash grab after the success of ‘Bad Moms’ it is a decent watch and one to catch if you’re a fan of the original.

Only a couple of hours after watching 'Bad Moms' I was off to see 'A Bad Moms Christmas'. I've got to be honest even though these films are pretty trashy, I find them completely hilarious. I do also think that a lot of sequels to comedies tend to be pretty dismal, however as a follow up this movie does hold its own. The storyline is easy to follow and there are a few laugh out loud moments. Not a classic comedy but sufficient enough for this lacking genre of late.
I did really enjoy this movie, and would definitely recommend it. You would not even probably have to see the first movie either. You'd be able to pick up the storyline fairly easily. I do think though that for a rated 15 film, theres nothing really crazy or shocking. Obviously there is a spot of bad language (try and count how many times Amy (Mila Kunis) walks into a room and says 'what the fuck') but they surely could have pushed the boundaries a little more.
