Fresh off of winning the world championships, the Bellas are grown up and split up, struggling to find a passion. When they are offered a chance to sing together for the overseas USO tour, they reunite once more for their final song.

Now before I start, I want to say that I am a massive fan of the first film and I did enjoy the second, so I was beyond excited for this film. But my overall feeling towards it is just 'meh.' I loved the overall message of friendship and support but I just couldn't get my head around the ridiculous plot choice. The main plot of the USO tour and the battle to win was more than enough to flesh out for this kind of franchise but the whole sub-plot with Fat Amy and her dad was just ridiculous.

The music choices were okay - I loved the Bella's performances of 'Toxic', 'Cheap Thrills' and 'Freedom' but the rest are forgettable, the rehash of the successful "riff off" from the first film was if anything a little bit cringe. Also huge shout out to the band Fickle Friends who had a track play in the background.

My least favourite part of this film (and the franchise as a whole) is the irrelevant love interests they introduce. The characters are two dimensional and (apart from Bumper) don't add anything to the film. Plus their plot line is never fully explored and is just shoved in to give them a 'happy ending.'

Ok - I have big time gone in on this film but don't let me put you off. If you enjoy the franchise or want to support a super talented cast of women then definitely go and check this one out.

Also gay scale: token gay who sadly adds nothing to the plot.
