Katherine Graham, the first female publisher of a big-league American newspaper (The Washington Post) is faced with a tough choice. In the hopes of keeping up with The New York Times, Graham risks everything publishing government secrets about the Vietnam war.
There is honestly not much I could say about this film, It's very good and interesting to watch but there's not a lot to talk about.
The acting of course is incredible. Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep are a force to be reckoned with in terms of acting, both are outstanding and are of course a huge draw for people watching this film. Streep plays the role of Katherine Graham incredibly well and you really wanted her to succeed and stand strong in the face of adversities.
I've done a lot of studying about the Vietnam war and this event was always brought into the subject, the government trying to block any form of media from publishing content is a huge deal. It was very interesting to watch a whole film about this one particular media.
That's about all I can say for this one, I would definitely recommend catching it; it is interesting, fast paced and very well shot.
