Thomas leads the escaped Gladers on one last mission, the toughest mission they must face so far: find a way into the Last City, a WCKD owned city. Will the surviving Gladers finally get the long awaited answers they've been searching for?
One of the releases I've been most excited for and it did not disappoint, while it's nothing groundbreaking and is actually jam-packed with clichès it's easy to watch and become invested in.
I'm a big fan of the books and while they are not the most perfect adaptations, they are decent and this follows the footsteps of it's predecessors in offering action, fighting and plot twists but beyond that doesn't offer very much.
The acting was solid, Dylan O'Brien for one final time took on the role of Thomas and again did a great job. Alongside co-star Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Newt who is great throughout the whole film but is particularly strong towards the end of the film. Kaya Scodelario also gives a great performance as Teresa, a character that fans of the franchise are still uncertain as to whether or not to fully trust.
Not really much else I can say for this film if I'm honest but if you like explosions and action films then this is one to catch. It's a pretty satisfying end to the trilogy and I hope that the prequels will soon be making their way to the big screen.
