Tad Jones goes on a mission to rescues his beloved Sara from an evil millionaire looking for the necklace of King Midas.
A film that again had very little marketing aside from a few posters around the cinema. Since seeing this film I have learnt that it is actually a sequel to 2012's 'Tad the Lost Explorer', again a film I'd never heard of, but that would explain the lack of character introduction.
This film is fine, it's nothing special and you can tell that it's not a Disney, Pixar or Dreamworks film because the animation standard doesn't quite hit the mark when compared to the big name animation companies.
The plot is similar to any kind of exploration film, there are scrolls/books in foreign or ancient languages that need to be translated and treacherous journeys that need to be made. The plot works because it is so well tested in film before, there is nothing original here but it decent film full of fast paced fight scenes,
My main cringe with this film was the characters Tad Jones was the cartoon incarnation of Indiana Jones and Sara Lavrof was Lara Croft! These characters were not the worst however as this film has possibly the worst sidekick ever seen on screen in the shape of an ancient mummy brought back to help the dynamic duo.
While this film is fine, if you are looking for an animated film that has recently come out I would recommend skipping this and catching 'Coco' instead.
