The idea behind this film is nothing new - like even a little. Body swapping comedies have been done to death in most cases. This is the perfect example of this trope being overused and outdated.

Little in theory, should be a good film - as the related titles above suggest! It follows the life of tough boss Jordan switching back to being 13 all over again. As a standard in this type of film, the body-switch is supposed to be a life-altering experience that changes their whole destiny. For Jordan, this only half happens, it's lazy and comes in the literal last moments, there's no good build up to her realising her mistakes or a cheesy montage that makes these films work. Her character doesn't even truly learn from the whole life lesson and make herself a better person - so literally what is the point?

The message of the film is an important one but it's incredibly heavy-handedly thrown in. There was a whole subplot of Jordan being friends with a group of misfits in her school year, she convinces them to be completely different people and betray who they are deep down, until the final moments of the film when she realises that they should do what they want. It leads to a bizarre talent contest that mainly consisted of flossing and Fortnite dances - I can't wait for this trend in films to disappear.

An impromptu 'talent' contest isn't the only bizarre scene thrown in, when dining out young Jordan breaks out into song, using the kitchen utensils and food around her. It didn't really come from anywhere and did seem thrown in, almost as if it was a scene that was supposed to be cut but wasn't.

Giving 4 points to this movie is a bit of a stretch. I'm giving it a whole point because it unintentionally led me to finding this ad that cracks me up. I also can't deny that performances were good, if not wasted in this film. Regina Hall is great in last years Girls Trip, but there is very little opportunity for her to show off her comedic ability in this feature. Issa Rae plays assistant April and gives a great performance but again her ability is hardly tapped into in this feature. Marsai Martin playing 13-year-old Jordan is also solid and carries the role well. My final point of the movie goes for the costume design, the outfits are on point and Jordan and April always steal the scene with whatever they wear!

This body-switch comedy fails to make a splash and will have very little impact on box offices sales while up against some bigger hitters like Wild Rose and upcoming Greta.

Little is one of those films which is super forgettable. It's an average storyline with some sort of meaning attached and then some comedic moments chucked in for good measure. Little had nothing to set it apart from all these genre of movies that have been released in the last year. Little follows Jordan, a successful business owner who is cold, heartless and a  bully to most people. This is because she was bullied as a child, so to avoid that situation again she would be the bully herself/ Her assistant April was getting fed up as her voice was not being heart and she had many ideas of her own to process the company. Jordan was being horrible to a little girl and so the kid cursed her to become 'little;.

Regina Hall plays Jordan and to be honest I feel like I've seen her play this role a million times over. The humour and body language is far too predictable for this to be classes as a super original movie. Her character is so outrageous that you start to see through the situation. The storyline is so average that you start to lose interest and you have already predicted the ending only part the way through. Also I wasn't so keno on how sexualised Jordan's love interest was. I guess it was meant to be funny but I wasn't laughing. Also, in the trailer a massive deal is made out of Jordan's teacher. But the storyline with him goes nowhere - they just use him as a bit of eye-candy and thats it - no real addition to the lacking story.

Honestly do not waste you time with this movie. It is average at best and may only give you one small laugh. There are plenty other movies to watch at the cinema. Don't waste your money or time with this one.
